The proposed park is designed to support healing, recovery and community connection for individuals and families affected by substance use disorder. Plans include accessible green space, gathering areas and opportunities for remembrance, including a digital memorial honoring loved ones lost to substance use disorder. The park will also complement NSO’s expanding continuum of care by helping connect individuals to treatment and other supportive services. The Michigan Chronicle
The article also highlighted NSO’s call for Michigan’s corporate community to become founding partners in the project. President and CEO Linda Little emphasized that the park is intended to make recovery visible, create a pathway to support and provide a lasting space for healing and connection in Detroit.
