Posting a birthday wish for someone on Facebook is the norm for many. And now Facebook is upping its birthday game with the launch of “Birthday Stories.”
To celebrate the launch of the new feature, Facebook selected 50 bakeries across the country to give away treats. In metro Detroit, they selected — drum roll please — Cantoro Italian Market – Plymouth in Northville Township.
From 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, the market at 15550 Haggerty Road will be giving out free, Facebook- themed cannoli. During the celebration, local Facebook reps will be at the market giving customers a look at the new feature.
This new feature, according to Facebook, will allow everyone on your Facebook page to add or create digital birthday cards and post photos and videos to a story celebrating birthdays. Once it’s added to a “Birthday Story,” a personalized birthday slideshow will generate.
Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story was unclear on the location of the market. Cantoro Italian Market – Plymouth has a Plymouth mailing address but is located in Northville Township. This story has been corrected.
