NORTHVILLE, MI – This is as Michigan as it gets. A local ice cream parlor has just unveiled six different Faygo pop ice cream flavors. And these aren’t just ordinary, everyday flavors. These are combinations you may not expect.

Browndog Barlor and Restaurant, with locations in Downtown Northville and Downtown Farmington, has teamed with Detroit’s own, Faygo, for these one of a kind flavors you won’t find anywhere else in the world. They’re available beginning on Friday, June 17.

“No one was really doing Faygo ice cream on this level,” Greg Richards, Dir. of Operations at Browndog told MLive. “No one’s really done a push like this and we had the ability to put that together on a retail level as well. I cold-called Faygo and asked them about doing this. It started with one flavor and developed into a six-pack.”

Browndog is using eight different Faygo flavors to make its six flavor combinations which are:

• “Choc & Rye” – Faygo Rock & Rye with ribbons of chocolate fudge and chunks of brownies
• “Motown Jam” – Faygo Redpop swirled with ribbons of chunky peanut butter
• “Citrus Mist” – Faygo Moon Mist and Faygo Orange with bits of Maraschino cherries
• “Peaches & Creme” – Faygo Peach and Faygo Creme soda with shortbread cookies
• “Groovy Grape” – Faygo Grape mixed with vanilla sandwich cookies
• “Unicorn Swirl” – Faygo Cotton Candy pop with pink marshmallows

“What’s cool about these flavors is that we’re not trying to make them taste like Faygo pop, it’s actually Faygo pop in each creation. We’re always known for creating different flavor combinations, so we wanted to make the ice cream the actual Faygo flavor. Our collaborative spin comes with the cool, creative combination of ingredients to make it Browndog.”

Browndog will sell three of the flavors by the scoop at its two shops, “Choc & Rye,” “Unicorn Swirl” and “Groovy Grape.” All six are available for purchase in pints for $8.50 each. Buy four, get one free. They’ll also sell a boozy “Unicorn Swirl” shake.

“Faygo has been so much fun to work with. It’s been a dream collaboration. We’re a little guy and they’re Faygo. What an iconic brand and for them to allow us to represent is a huge opportunity for us. It’s also a huge responsibility for us to do justice to the Faygo brand and make sure we’re putting out a product they can be proud of as well.
