McKeen & Associates and National Technology Management donate back-to-school supplies for area children
WXYZ — Heads up parents. The National Retail Federation estimates that this will be the most expensive back to school shopping season in history.
The federations’s survey found that families with children in elementary school through high school last year spent an average of $684.79. This year they plan to spend $11.91 more. That is a record setting plan $696.70.
We are teaming up with local businesses to help lucky families around metro-Detroit get what they need for back to school. It is called the Seven Action News Back to School Supplies Surprise.
Kroger, Meijer, McKeen & Associates , National Technology Management, and Powell Consulting Group , a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. are all surprise sponsors. With their generous help we are able to find random families and offer to buy some of the supplies their children need for success at school.
