Bridging the Gap—One Neighborhood at a Time
Marx Layne partnered with one of the nation’s largest internet service providers to expand access to affordable, high-speed internet in underserved Detroit neighborhoods. By leveraging data-driven targeting and trusted local partnerships, we launched a grassroots outreach campaign that included multilingual materials, community events, and media engagement. The effort led to hundreds of household enrollments, strong third-party validation, and lasting community impact—helping close the digital divide and strengthen brand trust.
At Marx Layne, we believe the most powerful campaigns don’t start with headlines—they start on the ground. In neighborhoods. At church halls. Inside local nonprofits and school gymnasiums. That’s where trust is built. That’s where change begins.
One example of this grassroots philosophy in action was our recent work helping a major Internet Service Provider expand affordable internet access in Detroit. The goal was clear: close the digital divide. But real success required more than infrastructure—it required relationships.
Our team partnered with community organizations, faith leaders, and trusted neighborhood advocates in priority ZIP codes throughout Detroit. We hosted bilingual enrollment events, developed culturally relevant materials, and made sure local voices were part of every step.
The result? Hundreds of households gained access to high-speed internet—some for the first time ever. We didn’t just meet campaign goals—we helped shift the narrative around what’s possible when corporations engage authentically at the community level.
Grassroots work isn’t flashy. But it’s effective. And it’s what we do best--getting results.
