Jan. 17 2019 – FARMINGTON HILLS, MI Marx Layne & Company, a Southeast Michigan-based marketing, public relations and digital media agency, has added three new communications professionals to its staff. Former Oakland Press Editor Matt Myftiu joins the ranks as Senior Account Executive. Former Fiat Chrysler communications coordinator Stephen Jones and University of Michigan Ross School of Business graduate Josh Jackman come on board as Account Assistants.


Matt Myftiu, Senior Account Executive

Myftiu has over 20 years of experience working in digital and print media, including more than 15 years as a writer, staff leader and group editor at The Oakland Press and other newspapers in the Digital First Media chain. Matt also created and has run his own website, autotechreviews.com, for the past four years — focusing on the latest breakthroughs in the automotive and technology worlds. Due to his long-held connections in these fields, Myftiu will focus on automotive and tech clients at Marx Layne. Myftiu is a graduate of Michigan State University.





Stephen Jones, Account Assistant

Prior to joining Marx Layne, Jones worked at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles as a news center coordinator, providing detailed media impact analysis on both corporate and product communications for FCA’s Jeep, RAM, Dodge, Chrysler, Fiat and Alfa Romeo brands. Jones will now join Marx Layne’s digital content and analytics team, serving automotive, aviation, consumer product and non-profit clients. Jones graduated from Wayne State University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations.






Josh Jackman, Account Assistant 

Jackman will focus on a broad range of digital campaigns for Marx Layne clients including targeted messaging, content management, web-based initiatives, SEO and PPC. He will also help oversee analytics for Marx Layne clients including real-time monitoring, influence evaluation, competitive analysis, engagement and measurement. Jackman is a graduate from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, with a bachelor of business administration and a focus on marketing and strategy.
