The Marx Layne Detroit-based PR team are seasoned, media savvy experts with wide-ranging experience working with the news media and other key audiences within the automotive sector. Szudarek counsels clients in the automotive, technology and professional services industries, among others. He is directly responsible for directing a broad range of marketing communications, media relations, reputation management, expert positioning and strategic guidance activities for a broad range of clients in both the consumer and B2B market segments. Szudarek brings a unique understanding of the complexities of engineering and product development, management, and public policy and regulatory affairs, combined with the communications skills and relationships to deliver strategic programs.

Prior to joining Marx Layne in 1998, Szudarek worked for another metropolitan Detroit area public relations agency, where his efforts were focused primarily in servicing a number of automotive suppliers in implementing marketing communication programs for use throughout North America. His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Wayne State University. He holds membership in the Automotive Press Association as well as other public and private board positions.

Focusing on automotive and technology clients, Glenn Oswald combines his public relations skills with a 20-year career in broadcast media.

Oswald has served on a variety of automotive accounts for the agency. Providing PR strategy and counsel for a Hungarian start up firm, he and the Marx Layne team secured local and national media placements on the company’s arrival in the U.S. and its distinct niche in the automotive space. The team also coordinated all aspects of the company’s grand opening of its first North American office in metro Detroit. Oswald also has managed communications for an Israel-based cyber security company, also just entering the North American market. The team provided media training for its CEO and launched an aggressive strategic introduction campaign, arranging one-on-one interviews with prominent trade and technology reporters and editors.

Additionally, Oswald served on the agency team representing a major automotive manufacturer in North America, providing media relations throughout the continent and worldwide.

Oswald, a Marx Layne team member since 2000, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communications from Adrian College.

David Stoyka specializes in account management, creating and implementing strategic public relations and marketing campaigns, which includes messaging, media outreach, media training, onsite coordination, product launches and special events.

Stoyka works with variety of clients, specializing in automotive, manufacturing and transportation having worked with a numerous of tier 1 and 2 global suppliers.

He also has vast experience working with financial and professional services firms as well as entertainment, retail and hospitality on a local, regional and national level. He directs numerous account teams at Marx Layne & Co.

He has regularly been called on to carry out events including grand openings and groundbreaking ceremonies for large multinational companies. He has managed events in several states for Marx Layne clients.

Stoyka has worked in media for over 25 years having worked as a television news producer and research specialist for a major daily paper.

Automotive PR and Marketing ExpertsMatt Myftiu has more than 20 years experience working in communications and media, with specialties in the automotive and technology spaces. He spent over 15 years as a prominent writer and editor in the automotive and tech media, and knows how things work from the inside. Matt has also established strong relationships in these fields through his work at Marx Layne & Company.
